The price shown on the Alamode website is only for the frames, there are different prices for the lenses when you choose them. The final price you will have to pay is for the frame, the lenses and the postage.

Yes, you can order custom prescription sunglasses from Alamode, simply fill in your prescription when selecting your lenses.

The lens index number (1.61, 1.67 or 1.74) refers to the degree of refraction provided by the lens. This means how much light entering the lens is refracted (bent) as it passes through the lens. The lens index is also related to the thickness of the lens. The higher the index, the thinner the lens.

Polarized lenses are sunglass lenses that greatly reduce the glare of horizontally polarized light, which means light reflected from horizontal surfaces such as white sidewalks, white sandy beaches, snow or sunlight reflected on water.

Mirrored lenses are made with a highly reflective coating that reduces glare by reflecting light.

OD: Latin for Oculus Dexter, meaning right eye.

OS: Latin for Oculus Sinister, meaning left eye.

PD (pupillary distance): PD is the measurement of the distance between pupils.

SPH: The first part on the Rx. It corrects nearsightedness or farsightedness.

CYL: Cylindrical. Used in combination with the axes, CYL corrects astigmatism.

We’re all guilty of quickly wiping our glasses off our shirts or using paper towels to clean our lenses. While these habits may seem harmless, they can eventually damage your frames.

Yes, you will need to pay for your own return postage, Alamode is not responsible for any return postage.

All products purchased from Alamodelens are covered by a 6-month warranty (6 months after receipt of the product). The warranty only covers problems with defects due to any material and finish, but does not cover damage caused by accident, negligence or improper care.

For dislikes, size issues, uncomfortable prescriptions, please contact Alamodelens within 30 days of receiving the product. otherwise, issues beyond 30 days will not be accepted.

If you need to return an item, please notify us via email within 30 days of receiving the item for the return address and precautions. Please note that any returns that are not notified to us will not be accepted. By the way, we are not responsible for any return postage costs.

In most cases, damage may occur during shipping by the carrier, but we will take full responsibility for such cases. If you experience problems with DOA, please contact us at your earliest convenience and provide us with your order number and a photo of the damaged package/item. We will arrange for a replacement immediately or issue you a refund. Note: Please do not attempt to repair your glasses yourself as any alterations (glue, etc.) will void the warranty.
